Timmons Hurts Groin; Sits Out Afternoon Practice

The happiness of having all draft picks in camp has quickly gone away in Latrobe, as Steelers first round pick rookie linebacker Lawrence Timmons reportedly aggravated the same groin injury that hindered him during minicamp season at Thursday’s morning workout.

The injury did not seem all that serious according to reports, and some are saying already that he Timmons may have sat out the practice as a precaution. Nevertheless, Timmons is not taking part in the afternoon practice according to reports. The number one pick is somewhat already behind the 8-ball, as he basically missed all of the team’s offseason practice sessions after he hurt his groin on the first day of rookie minicamp. While this is not good news, the hope is that Timmons will get back on the field quickly.
