Black and Gold Ready for Bills Showdown Sunday

Tomlin sends a message

The Steelers are ready for Sunday’s home opener against the Buffalo Bills at Heinz Field.  The Black-and-Gold practice today on the South Side.  Steelers players said after practice on Thursday that they are just as geared up for the home opener as they were the regular-season opener.  The Steelers have won four straight home openers and five of their past six.  The Steelers will continue their 75th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday with the players wearing their throwback uniforms, complete with gold helmets.  The team will honor their “Legends Team” at halftime.  The “Legends Team” consists of pre-1970 players.  The Steelers are coming off a 34-7 win over Cleveland.  Buffalo is coming off a loss to Denver in their opener.  Pittsburgh leads the all-time series 12-to-9.  Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m.
