Couple of Former Steelers Nominated for the Hall

Former Steelers linebackers Levon Kirkland and Hardy Nickerson are among the nominees for the 2008 NFL Hall of Fame.  Also on the 124-person ballot are former Steelers center Dermontti Dawson, linebacker Kevin Greene, safety Donnie Shell, former coach Buddy Parker and former head of player personnel Art Rooney Jr.  Two senior nominees are on the ballot; Marshall Goldberg, who played collegiate ball at Pitt and Emmitt Thomas who played for the Chiefs.  The Class of 2008 will be whittled down to 15 finalists and the two senior nominees and then between four and seven members will be selected.  Voting will take place February 2nd in Phoenix, Arizona.
