Steelers Win the AFC North With Browns Loss

I know it’s not easy to do – but today say thanks to the Cincinnati Bengals.  While in the end the team might not have needed it, the Steelers can thank the Bungles for their 19-14 win over the Browns today, as it means that the Steelers are the 2007 AFC North Champions.  The win by Cincy drops Cleveland to 9-6, and the Steelers have the tie breaker, so even if the Steelers lose in Baltimore next week and the Browns top the 49′ers, both teams are 10-6, and the Steelers win the division anyway.  More importantly, the Steelers will play at home in the first round of the playoffs.  For now, they are the #4 seed, meaning they would play the #5 seed in the first round, setting up a rematch on January 5th or 6th with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
