Steelers to Rest Starters for Showdown in Baltimore

The Steelers are going to rest some of their injured starters when they travel to Baltimore for the regular season finale Sunday afternoon.  Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took part in limited drills on Thursday and backup Charlie Batch took all of the snaps with the first team. Head coach Mike Tomlin has not named a starter as of yet but it looks like it will be Batch.  Safety Troy Polamalu did not practice either.  Polamalu has played the past two games despite a sore knee which caused him to miss a couple of games earlier this season.  Offensive tackle Marvell Smith underwent back surgery yesterday and his status for the remainder of the year is up in the air.  Linebacker James Harrison’s sore groin limited him in practice so he could be rested in Baltimore.  Sunday’s game has been moved back to 4:15 p.m.
