Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is looking for a few things this off-season.  Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that he would like a tall wide receiver, the Steelers to re-sign Alan Faneca and a new contract as soon as possible.  The Steelers are expected to open discussions with Roethlisberger’s agent Ryan Tollner this off-season.  Roethlisberger has two years left on his current deal.

Re-signing Faneca appears to be the bigger task.  Faneca was unhappy with the Steelers offer last off-season and Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert told the P-G on Monday that the “price most likely has gone up” for players like Faneca.  The Steelers have until February 29th to sign their unrestricted free agents.  The Steelers did sign defensive tackle Scott Paxson.  Paxson spent time on the Steelers practice squad the past two seasons.
