Suddenly the Tough Schedule Doesn’t Look So Tough

It was no secret that coming into 2008 the Steelers had the toughest schedule in the NFL. Now, as the team sits at a very good 4-1 getting ready for a bad Bengals team that has yet to win in 2008, the schedule has suddenly taken quite a turn. Let’s break down what lies ahead.

10/19 at Cincy - Don’t think we need to say too much about this one, other than the fact that Ryan Fitzpatrick will start for Cincy. Any questions?

10/26 vs New York Giants – They just lost to the Browns, and frankly haven’t won a big game since week one vs the Skins. They can be had.

11/3 at Washington – Yes the Redskins have played well, but didn’t they just lose to the Rams?

11/9 vs Indy – They played great vs the Ravens on Sunday, but they are not the same Colts that dominated the past few regular seasons and can be had at home.

11/16 vs San Diego – Another tough game, but again, at home, and they have already lost on the road to the Dolphins and Broncos.

That’s just a small look ahead at will be coming up for the Steelers, and if they play like they have in their first five games, they could be 8-2 or 7-3 as they get set for their final six games of the season. It’s going to be a fun ride, but it doesn’t look as bad as it did a few weeks ago.

  1. Tim says:

OK. I can see 8-2 or even 7-3 but, dare to be thought when the schedule came out, how about this Steeler team being 9-1 after 10 games!!??
