It’s about time that Aaron Smith got some love. The Steelers DE was named AFC Defensive Player of the week today after a big game in Baltimore Sunday in the Steelers 13-9 win that clinched them the AFC North and at worst the #2 seed in the AFC.
Smith registered eight tackles, one sack and two quarterback pressures in the road win. Smith played a huge role as Pittsburgh’s defense limited Baltimore to 202 total yards.
DeMarcus Ware of the Cowboys took home the NFC side of Defensive Player of the week award for his big game Sunday vs the Giants.
