Word is Clark Won’t Be Fined for Hit on McGahee

It appears though it was a pretty solid hit on Ravens RB Willis McGahee that sent him to the hospital by Ryan Clark last night, word today is that the safety will not be fined.

The league could look at the hit as a helmet-to-helmet hit that could have Clark either suspended or fined, the Boston Globe’s Mike Reiss said today that a league spokesman says that the hit was clean. “‘[McGahee] had completed the catch and was a runner,’” the spokesman told Reiss.

There has been a lot of talk today that the hit was a cheap shot, but after seeing it a number of times on TV, I would have to say otherwise and that it was a clean hit.
