Kicker Reed in Trouble After Destroying Towel Dispenser and Swearing at Convenience Store

Jeff Reed’s in a bit of trouble, this after he was in a tither after there were not any towels in a restroom at a Sheetz convenience store in New Alexandria. He’s been cited for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, offenses similar to traffic tickets that carry a maximum fine of $300 and 90 days in jail each.

Reed broke the towel dispenser and then swore at an employee and again shouted curse words outside the store. “Reed caused damage to a towel dispenser as he was infuriated at the fact that there were no towels in it,” according to a news release by Trooper Shawn Askins, who issued the citations. The incident occurred Saturday about 2:50 a.m.

The Steelers had no immediate on the matter about Reed, who made 27 of 31 field goals and 36 of 37 PATs for 117 points in the 2008 Championship season.

Reed is a loose cannon, but I am glad he is OUR loose cannon. There could be worse things than this a knucklehead like Reed could be doing. I dont condone his actions but knock it off already. Make your apology, pay your fine, and grow up. I do have to say that Jeff Reed is the most underrated kicker in the N.F.L and should be a 3 time pro bowler by now. I personally love him as a Steeler!

I agree with Mark…Don’t condone it but until ALL the TO’s and Pacmans, etc., are out of the league…who cares!
