Guys,
Harrison did not go to the White House the last time, so why is everyone makeing such a big deal about it this time. From the news clip I saw the other day, he actually doesn’t like to fly. So with that in mind, if he didn’t want to go then that is his choice. I don’t think there is anything wrong about that and the only reason that it is an issue is because the media made it one .

Actually there were 2 players that did not go to the White House .. anyone know the second one ?

The only thing James Harrison has done is made himself look stupid. It is not about politics, just being a member of a team.

Jay, it is not about being a role “model”. Just a part of an extended American family that takes a moment to celebrate excellence.

I hope Harrison is doing something productive with his time this afternoon – other than pumping iron, giving dumb quotes or slapping around on his girlfriend, as he was arrested for a few years back.

Until presidents stop getting blowjobs, telling hollow lies and representing everything except integrity, I have no problem with Harrison’s decision…If YOU ( Jeff) believe it’s an honor to be at the White House, that’s fine, respectable and YOUR prerogative. If James doesn’t want to, that’s his and it’s also fine and respectable…I applaud him for speaking his mind about it too…Why is there this (pseudo) air of royalty affiliated with our leaders. Yes, we live in a great country and I, you and James are beneficiaries of it but we’re also beneficiaries of free will and speech…Get off your high horse about role modles too…you be a role model if you don’t like the way someone else is doing something that’s not their job anyway…Barkley was right…Parents are role models (and kids are not accessories!) James’s job is to play football and make tackles and be mean and nasty and I’d say he does a pretty good fucking job of it!

I’ve been a james harrison fan since he was getting cut, now what he said about not going to the white house doesn’t bother me. It’s how he said it, saying “if cardnals won they woud be nvited” no kidding. His staement made him sund very foolish. To that guy jeff saying ” i lost alot of respect for james harrison”. Taking thi a litte to series JEFF. It’s his choice i may not agree with but don’t take it as if he isthe devil or somethng horrible. He chooses not to go, fine with me. I would lik to meet the president but yet the white house is in the town of corruption and money hungry back tabbing politicians.

I love the STEELERS but what James Harrison said about not going to the WHITE HOUSE with his team is a bunch of @#*!

It not only makes him look like an AHOLE but it is a slap in the face to the classy Steeler organization (esp.the ROONEYS who supported OBAMA,the PRESIDENT himself and our country as a whole. Visiting the WHITE HOUSE is an honor out of respect for our Free Nation…and a tradition.
It takes a lot to get me angry, I lost a lot of respect for James Harrison over this! What kind of message is he sending the children that look at him as a role model!

p.s. He did not turn down his SUPERBOWL RING!
