Steelers Close to an Extension w/ D-Lineman Keisel

The Steelers appear close to adding another veteran with a contract extension according to the Post-Gazette:

The Steelers are closing in on a five-year contract with defensive end Brett Keisel that could be finalized today. Keisel, 30, has been a starter on the right side of the defense since 2006. He likely will be the last player the Steelers sign to a contract extension before the start of the season. He had one year left on the contract he signed in 2006.

Kiesel is a good player and one I am glad to see enjoy the rewards of being an honest, hard-working and productive player. Kiesel does NOT make you forget L.C Greenwood at DE, but he plays hard and never makes mistakes it seems. Also, is it just me or does it seem like Brett Kiesel always plays big and has huge games in the playoffs? He reminds me of the MLB pitcher El’ Duque. Duque would have a good regular season but really earn his $$$ come playoff and World Series time. I know, bad analogy. LOL
