First Half Thoughts From Detroit – Steelers 21 Lions 13

* Limas Sweed is active, and dropped his first pass. I am beginning to wonder if this guy has any chance of making it in this league.

* Blame Ben for the pick to William James that made it 14-13, but that score should go also to Mike Wallace. First the rookie pulled a Limas Sweed by dropping what could/would have been a touchdown on a deep ball, then on the pick he drifted back on the pass, which wasn’t a good throw, but if he would have run a better route, James wouldn’t have had the position to make the play.

* Credit to Ben and the offense for answering the ball after the pick. He went to two guys that don’t drop the ball – Heath Miller three times in a row, then Hines Ward and an excellent touchdown, his first of the year. A great answer for a mistake to get it back to an 8-point lead.

* James Harrison is having a big day, a forced fumble by the LB, then a big sack that stopped a Lions drive. Then he did the Joey Porter stomp…what was that all about? He also got held a couple of times that wasn’t called, but what else is new?
