Let me say something, Space monkey and all...I couldn't root against the Steelers if I tried, okay...even if I was brainwashed into ABSOLUTELY PINING for all losses to ascertain a top pick because of a stud collegiate athlete out there, I couldn't root for the Steelers to lose. A lot of this (at least on my end anyway) is post game frustration and banter...Maybe you should be more concerned with the bigger picture here! Mike is right. It is pass first and ask questions later. So excuse me, a SMASHMOUTH fan who WOULD settle for a 50/50 run/pass balance (I'd prefer 60 run/40 pass ideally), if I'm not doing somersaults with this league-wide, pussy passing attack that our beloved team has seemed to jump ON the bandwagon of! One of the reasons I root for the Steelers (the main reason is because I was born and raised in the 1970's and that will never change ergo my rooting interest will never change) but another reason is because it/they are reflective of my personality; hard-working, strong-willed, etc. To see them play this style of football actually hits me on a deep level where I am actually somewhat disturbed by it. I know it's just football but football is culture. If you think that they're going to play an A game and turn it around WHILE throwing the ball as much as they are, then you're simply an uninformed fan. I've watched the futility otherwise known as the EAGLES struggle for the past few seasons on third and four---just like what we're struggling with---because of the high profile quarterback and the seeming incessant need to throw the ball because of that high $ amount. I love Big ben and would take him over anyone else but to put him behind a line which is 80% road graders (Cowher's people) and ask him to throw the ball 65% of the time is nothing else than stubborn, prideful, victims of their own success on the coaching staff's parts. It makes me wanna puke thinking about it.

I will always support the steelers. I simply have a disagreement with the direction this offense is headed. Tomlin and Arians talk about having balance on offense. HOw is throwing the ball 63% of your offensive snaps in the last two games balance? Its not like we were down 2 or 3 scores in each game. We were winning both games and never down by more more than a score in either. I hate to keep hammering this point but it is so blatanly obvious that neither Tomlin nor Arians want balance. They would prefer to throw the ball, regardless of game situation.

I kinda hope all the bandwagoners jump ship. Getting pretty tired of being called a "jerk Steelers fan"; despite always talking constructively and positively about other teams (or not at all).

I don't think I've talked trash to anyone, ever, about anything. This sucks.

Hey bandwagoners, try not to get hit in the (CENSORED) by the door on the way out.

No time to jump off the bandwagon. A real fan would not in any case. But, the team needs to improve in many places in order to make the playoffs. This Steeler team cannot afford to just show up and win regardless of their opponent. Yesterday showed that. Winning in Baltimore will be a true test. Probably just what the team needs to start a run. I am sure the team knows that their backs are up against the wall now, and they are familiar with the intensity of the Ravens rivalry. Playing an A+ game right now is just what they will need to do in order to right the ship and go forward against their remaining schedule. There are no more "gimme" games. Lets see what the 2009 Steelers are all about with 6 games to go.
