Posted in Friday night was the start of week 16 in the NFL, and the Steelers got a little early Christmas gift, as the San Diego Chargers went into Tennessee and pounded the Titans 42-17. Why does this help? Well, the Titans were one of the many 7-7 teams in the AFC heading into week 16. Now with the loss they are 7-8, which all but means they are done in the AFC in terms of the playoffs.
Here’s the other 7-7 teams heading into Sunday:
Miami (at Houston)
New York Jets (at Indianapolis)
Houston (vs Miami)
Jacksonville (at New England)
Of course the Steelers need to take care of business vs the 8-6 Ravens, and they also need the 8-6 Broncos, who gave he Stelers a gift loss to the Raiders last week, to lose in Philly against the Eagles. If all this happens, it will be a very interesting week 17 for the Steelers and the AFC.
