James Walker of ESPN reports that according to Kevin Colbert, Pittsburgh’s football operations director and general manager, Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu did not have knee surgery. Polamalu suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee in the 2009 season opener against the Titans and missed the next four games. He returned from the injury in week six against the Browns but was reinjured against the Bengals in week ten and missed the rest of the season.
