From Sweed’s perspective, if someone tells you how great you are and is cheered for your entire life then finally getting to the big stage where you are hated by an entire city… then yes I can see how he can be depressed, even with all the money we gave him.

Yeah fans are mad at Sweed for being a bonehead on the field, but do I hope Sweed gets help and ultimately finds success in the NFL.

I dont want to make fun of anyones affliction, so I wont. If the depression comes from high expectations but poor performance, then this man needs to see a sports psychiatrist and deal with a problem. If this is a lifelong affliction, then he still needs help and medication. Either way, the kid needs guidance, counceling and medication to go on with his life. A few dropped balls have made fans mad at him but not enough to make this kid depressed and possibly suicidal. Whether he is a Steeler or not, I hope he gets help and goes on with his life.

I dont know what his problem is but all I know it does not convey to the field. He is dealing with something when he cant catch a ball for sure he must be dealing with something personal because its nothing phyically disabling him
