Polamalu says he won’t wear a knee brace

Troy Polamalu won’t be limiting himself with a knee brace when he takes the field with the D Sunday against the Falcons.

Troy Polamalu isn’t a big fan of wearing knee braces, and nothing appears to have changed with Steelers All-Pro safety. Polamalu said Thursday he doesn’t expect to wear a brace on the knee he injured twice last year, keeping him out of 11 games. “I doubt I would wear a brace unless something serious happened throughout this week,” Polamalu said. He initially wore a brace last season against Cleveland – but only during warmups. The next week, against Minnesota, he was going to try the brace during the game but decided against it at the last minute. Polamalu didn’t wear a brace this preseason. “I have been taping my knee, and that’s done a good job,” Polamalu said.
