The history of the ‘losing Superbowl team not making it to the playoffs in the subsequent years’ doesn’t seem to fit this Steelers team. Collective bargaining aside, the players sounds like they have some unfinished business to take care of and they know they didn’t capture this opportunity like they should have.
I’m optimistic that the 2011-2012 team will be right back in the action, playing a full season + playoffs with a chip on their shoulders. Ben’s issues behind us; Polamalu, Smith, Pouncey healthy; solid corps of receivers; strong running; and (hopefully) improved O-line…will give Tomlin what he needs to exercise dominance again.
Now let’s get some Cornerbacks and book our tickets for Indy!
