Steelers Sign First-Round Pick DE Cameron Heyward

The Steelers first-round draft has been signed and sealed. Defensive end Cameron Heyward has inked his rookie deal with the Steelers, a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth year.

The Ohio State end who was born in Pittsburgh, follows in the shoes of his father, the late Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, a Pitt running back who also was drafted in the first round, by the Saints at No. 24 in 1988. His mother, Charlotte Heyward-Blackwell, is a Pittsburgh native.

The Steelers have signed all of their draft picks except for Texas cornerback Curtis Brown, a third-round selection.
