WR Sanders to Miss About Three Weeks with Foot Injury

One of the amazing rookie WR’s from a season ago is going to miss about three weeks, as Emmanuel Sanders is in a waking boot. He is also walking on crutches after a procedure to help it heal.

As a rookie, he moved up to the #3 wide out spot, and was a reason the team felt they could release Antwaan Randle El and not miss a beat. On the year, he caught 28 passes as a rookie, 12 of them in the final three games.

He broke his right foot in the Super Bowl and he wound up having surgery to repair breaks in both feet. The most recent surgery, on his left foot, was done about four months ago. He reported to camp and ran the first day and practiced the second but began having problems with his foot.

He described the procedure that was done on his left foot on Monday in which bone marrow was removed through his heel and then injected in his foot to speed the recovery.
