Third Quarter Thoughts: Still Out of Sorts

The Steelers have outgained the Colts 331 to 141, have held Kerry Collins to 93 yards passing, and yet trail 13-10 entering the fourth quarter.

As one person on Twitter sent me, “The Steelers look so out of order.” Nothing so true has been said in awhile. The team on defense has done their job, not allowing a touchdown, and only six points when the Colts have been in the redzone.

As far as the offense goes, they have been far from mistake free, and the offensive line again looks like a work in progress. They lost Marcus Gilbert, and that has been a big deal, and the rest of the tackles can’t do the job. This is something that teams are going to take advantage of week in and week out.

They need to dominate and take control of this fourth quarter. If not, this loss could be one of epic nature to a team that shouldn’t win more than 3 games.
