Tomlin Says Harrison Cleared to Practice; Farrior and Woodley Unknown for Ravens

The Steelers will be getting ready for their biggest game of the season on Sunday night, and will not know for sure what players are going to be able to go, and what are not.

Tuesday talking to the media, head coach Mike Tomlin did say that LB James Harrison has been cleared to practice, but as of now isn’t cleared to play. “We’ll reevaluate him a little later in the week,” said Coach Mike Tomlin. “He has been cleared to practice which is an awesome step for him.

“We will reevaluate the situation at some point later in the week and let that be our guide in terms of potential participation. But right now I just want to be clear that he has been cleared to practice.”

It would be great to get Harrison back on the field since it looks like the team is going to be without LaMarr Woodley, who while he hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday, it appears he won’t play with a hamstring injury.

James Farrior may only work on a limited capacity in practice on Wednesday, and reports say he also is going to not be playing on Sunday against Baltimore as well, though just like Harrison and Woodley, he hasn’t been ruled out for the game.

One LB coming back could be Jason Worilds, as he is expected to practice on Wednesday and how he reacts will determine if he can play this week or not.

“We tentatively have him scheduled to go through a full practice,” said Tomlin. “If he is able to finish that would be good for him and good for us. If he is not, then of course we will adjust accordingly. But his availability will be based on that participation.”

If three of the usual starting LB’s are out Sunday – Harrison, Woodley, and Farrior, the team could still look to add a LB before Sunday just to have a healthy body on the team.

Wide out Hines Ward will be back at practice on Wednesday, but the team may have issues with an injury to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who has to have his left knee evaluated. Guard Doug Legursky is the only player who has been ruled out for the game.
