More Bad News

As if losing to the Raiders after your QB puts up a rating of 123 isn’t bad enough, get ready to see the Steelers only above the awful Browns when you check out the standings Monday morning.

Sure it’s early, but all the sudden the Bengals are looking like a team that is going to have be dealt with after putting up 38 in Washington beating the Redskins 38-31.

Then, all Steelers fans could ask for is Tom Brady and the Pats to put a silver lining on Sunday night, and they couldn’t do it in Baltimore. Up 30-21 halfway through the fourth quarter, the Pats blew a game vs the Ravens, losing on the last play of the game with a field goal 30-21.

So, the Steelers will go into their bye with the standings as follows:

    Keep your eye on the defense, not the records. Cincinnati beat Cleveland and Washington so far: both are teams with weak defenses. The Ravens, with a sound defense, beat the Bengals 44-13 in the opener. The Pats defense can’t match that of the Ravens either. The Steelers record will improve when the defense improves. The Ravens have the best defense in the division at the moment and remain the team to beat.

    Agreed. I believe that the Steelers defense will improve after it is more healthy, but the Ravens will remain the team to beat in the AFC North. It will be very interesting to see how the team responds after the bye week.

    I am not ready to hand the division over to the Ravens..THE PATS OUT PLAYED THEM, and exposed the raven D..Yes, we stink at the moment. Our run game sucks, Our D does not make ANY big splash plays. No sacks, or way under par. Any Good QB will light us up like a XMAS tree. The only bright spots are the receivers and of course, BB. It gets me sick that the post gazette gave BB a B+ for his performance because he couldn’t lead us back? They MUST be joking! Thats like Willie Stargell hitting 4 Home runs and knocking in 8 rbis in a game and complain he should have hit 5 home runs!

    For two years now I’ve hearing about this cut block issue. First the Ravens and now the Raiders. When are the Steelers going to get smart and do the same thing. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Next year should cut Polumulu and Harrison for cap reasons and go for rebuilding a young defense. Last night watched Seatle and that great pass rush. Most teams have a least two guys with speed to get to QB. Steelers have Woodley slow and over weight and Harrison the grey beard injury riddled player. You shouldn’t be making millions and getting hurt all the time. Dosen’t make sense. Troy and Harrison have had there time in the sun and now there broken down and slow as turtles. Upgrade somehow but don’t pay old cars millions at the fans expense.

    Look at the Bengals youth and Raverns. Where’s the Steeler’s two offensive lineman one claiming its tougher than he thought and get hurt and the other with a bad back or knee and feet that make father time look like a sprinter. Keisal, Hampton, Polumulo, Harrison all ninty going on a hundred. The Steeler have build no future. Poor Big Ben with some kind of support from management could have beat Bradshaws four Super Bowls. Invest in players with millions after there candle when out. Tomlin and Golbert should try another profession like running a old boys club. You need a offensive line that can push ahead to get you two yards and a defensive line that rushes QB so the defensive backs have a chance. We on both lines suck big time and will suffer for years to come. Ashame management wasted Big Bens career for thinking to the future. We are becoming the Browns.
