Steelers Officially Lose Wallace, Ink Burress To One-Year Deal

With Mike Wallace spending day one being wooed by the Miami Dolphins, the Steelers did sign a wide out, bringing back again Plaxico Burress to the team.

Reports say the 35-year-old inks a one-year deal for the veteran minimum.

Burress had three catches in four games with the Steelers, including a touchdown in the finale vs the Browns.

He was also inactive for two games.

The reported deal for Wallace to Miami is for five years and will give Wallace $30 Million in guaranteed money.

    OK..now all they have to do is PLAY the man! instead of having him in street clothes and dressing 4 RBs. With Miller being out Indefinitely we gona need a Target that’s taller then 5’10 especially in the Redzone

      I totally agree. I could never understand why the guy was never on the field last season when he was signed in November ? They only had a small window to work with for playing him and still didnt . With Wallace gone , theyre going to need Burress in the red zone .

        because he didnt know the play book. Mike Tomlin said himself. i wondered the same thing. either way you look at it, its still 6 rings or GO HOME!! :D>

    What Burress will hopefully bring is a physical presence that our wr corps currently don’t have since Ward. We still need that red zone threat especially since Millers status is still up in the air. A full offseason and training camp will only benefit Burress this year.

      burress isnt my concern. my conern is keeping troy healthy, and our O-Line. along with keeping big ben healthy, and finding some good back up qb’s as well as decent half backs?!?!?!?!?
