Steelers Talking To Veteran Safety James Sanders

After losing safety Will Allen to the Cowboys, the Steelers have set up a visit with a veteran safety to try and fill the void.

Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest states the team is sitting down with safety James Sanders. The vet played for New England and Arizona.

In 114 career NFL games, Sanders has one sack and eight interceptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

Last season with Arizona, he played in 15 games, with 19 total tackles.

    Not a bad guy to take a look at. The safety position could use a veteran backup. Probably something in the mold of a Will Allen situation. I still prefer to draft a safety early in the draft this year.

    If james meets all the criterior the steelers are looking for then why not.He could possibly get even better playing along side a Troy Polamalu.
