Draft Day Two: Should The Steelers Take A RB?

It’s day two of the NFL Draft, and not one running back was taken on day one, meaning that there’s plenty of options out there for the Steelers if they want to revamp the running game for Mike Tomlin.

Here’s the best of the bunch:

1) Eddie Lacy, 5 feet 11 inches, 231 pounds, Alabama

Can make big plays, and has the power to punch a hole at the line of scrimmage. He is a back who dies hard. He has some Adrian Peterson-like power in his style because he can bounce off hits while running high.

2) Jonathan Franklin, 5-10, 205, U.C.L.A.

A versatile back with skill as a receiver, but he’s a runner with good balance and functional power. Some say plays like Saints RB Darren Sproles.

3) Montee Ball, 5-11, 214, Wisconsin

Ball is an underrated athlete who is equipped with good burst and acceleration, but his speed grades out as average. Ran for 4,131 the last two seasons at Wisconsin.

4) Giovani Bernard, 5-9, 202, North Carolina

Bernard averaged 6.7 yards per carry for 1,228 yards with 12 touchdowns. He also had 47 receptions for 490 yards and five scores. He’s averaged 16.4 yards per punt return with two trips into the end zone.

I can’t believe this the steelers always do fucked up shit, with Lacy still on the board, they go and take someone who isn’t even in anyone’s top ten at RB!?!? Why, sans all their Super Bowl wins, do they thnk they always know more than anyone else. Also, why do they always put their pick in right away, they seem to never let the phone ring to move around the goddamn draft board!
