What The Steelers Are Saying About Sunday Vs The Titans

Kansas City Chiefs v Pittsburgh Steelers

QB Ben Roethlisberger on the Titans new D with Gregg Williams: “Yeah, we’ve watched a lot of film. We watched last year’s game, we’ve watched preseason stuff and we’ve watched Saints’ stuff. We don’t know what to expect, so we’re preparing a little bit for everything. I would have to expect a lot of what we saw when we played the Saints a couple of years ago – a lot of crazy blitzes and different looks and stuff.”

Safety Ryan Clark on nerves: “I am nervous every game. When I stop it’s time for me to hang it up. Those little butterflies let you know you are still alive, that it’s still important and that you respect this game. I like it. I like being nervous. I am on edge about the first three plays and then I calm down and have a good time.”

LB Jarvis Jones on Sunday: “It’s time to go to work, no question about it. “You go through the preseason and get the experience and see the things you have to work on. Sunday is for all the marbles. The W’s count. We are going to come out there and execute, make plays and take advantage of our opportunities.

“Everybody has a role and my role is not to start. I just have to come in there and make things happen when I can. I have to take care of my opportunities and do what my coaches and teammates ask me to.”

RB Isaac Redman on being a starter Sunday: “I want to prove I am a starting running back in this league. “I have been working hard even though I only had two carries in a game. I have been practicing, I just haven’t been playing. I want to prove I worked hard all summer and that I am a starting running back.”

RB Felix Jones on getting a shot: “I have been excited about this game ever since I got started at it and my passion keeps growing. This is what I do. This is what I love to do. I am excited about every opportunity I have to be on the field. I love the game, the camaraderie on the field, the people you meet, the brotherhood. It makes it all great.”

CB Ike Taylor on the new season: “This is a whole new year. We have to write a whole new book, a new chapter in 2013. We all have one goal and that is to win a Lombardi and that starts Sunday with the Tennessee Titans.”
