The steelers are one of the worst three teams in football. Realistically they should want to go 2-14 and try to get another top 3 first round pick. They have not gone after any free agent linemen to to try to salvage any part of last season or this season. They are the worst I have seen them since the 80’s. What does it say to the fans when you make Ben a 100 million dollar QB and do not protect him. I understand that there are a lot of different things that play into this and that the salary cap is the biggest hurdle. But they should have been planning on that factor 1.5 years ago. The fact is is that they are going to have a miserable season and that to me is just what they need to do. Todd Haleys offense is very predictable and quite frankly I hope he gets fired because its very clear to me( someone who watches every play of every game every year and has forever)that its not coming around and its old news. But what will likely happen…because this is what the steelers do, is they will win 6-8 games and fall 16th or so in the draft. To all you steeler fans out there you might want to buckle your chin straps because its going to take a few more years of beat downs before they “rebuild”. Sadly the careers of current players such as ben, troy, ryan and a few others will be over by the time it takes place. Back to the days of us having below average QB’s praying and begging for a 9-7 season and a wild card. That will only lead to more false hope. It has been nice watching them the past ten years though. I do take my hat off to the Rooneys for making it memories of a life time. You will probably not see the steelers in another Superbowl for 20 years unless they make serious changes TODAY!!

first, they made a big mistake hiring haley! this team was not put together to step right into his offence and zone blocking! people say look what he did with the chiefs? (I think thats where he came from)I don’t believe there was a a strong play off run there?
now the number one problem with this team is, Colbert!!! I firmly believe that football has pasted by him when you WASTE a forthround pick on a QB?????? when atleast a 1st — 5th pick should have been an OL!!! but even that might not have helped when you look back on other drafts the only one who seems to be worth pick was david decastro and that still is to be decided. I do not see the steelers winning more than 6 games this year! soon we will see ben riding off the field in a cart unless there are some changes?

    1. Yes All of those guys are to blame..Yes Ben was awful even when he had time..But how can you leave Haley of That list? And Colbert needs more accountability for drafting junk the last 5 years
    2. No they will not beat the Bears..Especially if they give. up ANOTHER 100 yard run game.
    3. They will win 7-9 games.
    4. I give Ike Taylor an A..Oline Pass rush an A..Linebacker’s in coverage a D..Tackling D.Pass rush A- Overall Defence a C-. Couldn’t stop the run..couldn’t Cover TEs except when Troy was on one. And could not get off the field AGAIN on 3rd down.
