Tragedy Strikes The NFL’s Cardinals And Dan Williams

While this has little to do with the Steelers or tonight’s game vs the Bears, I felt this post would make us remember what’s really important in life.

Today the father of Arizona Cardinals DT Dan Williams was killed in a car crash while on his way to watch his son play in the game vs the Saints in New Orleans.

The Arizona Cardinals tweeted, “Please keep #AZCardinals NT Dan Williams in your thoughts. His father was killed in a car accident on way to watch #AZvsNO,” Sunday morning.

Williams didn’t get to New Orleans for the game, instead is now with his family.

The Cardinals said Williams did not make the trip to New Orleans due to a “family matter” in a blog posted Saturday evening.

Williams was drafted in the first-round by the Cards back in the 2010 NFL Draft.

If it takes the death of the dad of an obscure nfl player to remind you of what’s important… I’d say it’s time to re-examine your priorities
