Instant React: Loss In London To Vikings 34-27 Puts Steelers At 0-4

Steelers1

For the first time in 45 years, the Steelers are 0-4.

The Vikings built a big lead, and in the end the swing gate otherwise known as the offensive line gave up a sack and fumble of Ben Roethlisberger inside the Vikings 10 in the closing seconds as the Vikings hold off thee Steelers 34-27.

There’s plenty of blame to go around, from the line to the poor play by the secondary to the bad tackling of running back Adrian Peterson, but the bottom line is this team is bad, and winless.

The team will have plenty of time to think about the loss, as they will come back from London and get a bye week before heading to NY in two Sunday’s to take on the Jets.

Have at it Steeler Nation – what happens next to this team in serious trouble?

It’s time to move on from Ben.. I am so disgusted. Why do the players and coaches smile after a lose. Me as a fan take it so hard?? We have no pass rushers(James Harrison).

I have said for years we have no secondary, we may make 1 big play a game, but get burned numerous times. The offensive line is appropriately named. We have been going downhill since Haley came to town! There are less things going right than wrong.

You all are idiots if you think this is Ben’s fault. Don’t even look at the defense either, you cannot win games if you don’t have an offense and that is what they need to build. Look at every game this season, we are always better in the last two minutes of the game than we are the rest of the time. Why is this you ask? It’s because Todd Haley has no play calling abilities during this time. The problem is the offensive coordinator and anyone who has any background in football can see that we have one of the worst play callers in all of football. Conservative play callers don’t win games, let alone Super Bowls. Why do you think we have won two recent Super Bowls? Our offensive coordinator was Bruce Arians who took shots downfield and had a passing and running game that worked for offenses with a weak o-line. Don’t worry about the defense, Dick LeBeau could have an efficient Defense with scarecrows, they are young, give Lebeau some time to work with the younger guys. We cannot do anything until we fire Haley. Our offense has been a failure since he came and will continue to be until he leaves.

AC is dead on the money . Ben Roethlisberger is playing behind the worst offensive line in football , bar none . I dont care if Peyton Manning was playing quarterback , it would mean nothing . No quarterback can complete passes when hes laying on his back and thats a fact . Mike Adams was ran over , through and around by the Viking defense and it looked like a pro lineman rushing the quarterback against a high school tackle , It was that bad . Im not saying Ben hasnt made mistakes , but this teams problems on offense starts and stops with the line , not the quarterback .

AC hit the nail right on the head.with the offense. Now the D ensue . Swiss C heee in the secondary. Has been for years. One or two plays a game does not constitute a good secondary. We need help a to insist that the players play with a purpose all the time not just part time. Running back issues still linger. Need both a power running back and running backs that can block.

Defense- No turnovers.. This has been a major problem for the defense the last 2 seasons. It is not the scheme or design of the plays because they always seem to be in position to do it, wether woodley is an inch away from getting his hand on the ball, or Ike is jumping a route. I’m not sure what it is exactly. Maybe its just bad luck. I am only hoping that somehow our luck changes. We have one of the best defenses in the league its about damn time we start playing like it.

Offense- When are these 1st and 2nd rounddraft picks going to gel together and become what was supposed to be a revamped O-line? Running the damn ball should be their favorite thing to do! How is it that they cannot get it going? It is borderline insulting how bad the movement off the line is right now. Bell is going to be a nice shot in the arm to the running game but he still can only do so much without lanes….
and blitz pickups?? dont even get me started.. that should get better with time though.
Everyone has been complaining about Roethlisberger, but you have to take the good with the bad. He is not peyton manning or tom brady.. he is a different style of qb. So let him play he’s always going to give you 110% effort.

This team has a lot of work but if they cant fix those two problems they can win a lot of games.. or even just one game would be nice at this point hahahah

Haly needs. To be fired, my team has gone downhill since he has been their, we have an elite quarterback and he can’t seem to get the job done. Fire Haly and we will be on our way up.
