Last Chance To Show He Belongs

Quarterback Landry Jones has struggled this preseason. Jones is with out a doubt on the hot seat. If Jones wants to make the opening day roster he must perform well against the Carolina Panthers.

Jones came into the pre season with a slight chance to upseat quarterback Bruce Gradkowski as,the top backup. Over the past three pre season games Jones has not thrown a touchdown pass and has turned the ball over. Jones must show the ability to make quick reads and release the ball much quicker this Thursday. Jones must avoid being sacked multiple times against the Carolina Panthers.

The positive thing going for Jones is that he will likely play most if not all of the game against the Carolina Panthers to show what he can do. Jones will have to impress working with second and 3rd team players. There is a outside chance that Jones will work with some first team players. Playing against the Carolina Panthers relentless rush Jones must show he can excel at reading the defense pre snap. Jones will receive some help from the running game with Le’Veon Bell and Blount playing some snaps. Jones has been given many chances. This will be his last if he struggles.
