On Friday afternoon cornerback Antwon Blake announced via Twitter that he had officially signed his one-year tendered contract worth $1,542,000 for 2015 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Blake became the first of three restricted free agents to officially sign with the team. Fullback Will Johnson and safety Robert Golden have yet to make it official.
Blake, a former Texas-El Paso defensive back, will enter his fourth season; the third with the Steelers, after beginning his NFL career as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2014, Blake recorded 37 solo tackles in 16 games with one start at left corner.
Blake shared a Twitter photos with fans showing him signing the contract.
