Steelers Gab 2017 Week 3 NFL Preview – Pittsburgh at Chicago

The Steelers have never had much luck in Chicago, winning just one time, and that was over 20 years ago, the 1995 season which ended with the team playing in the Super Bowl against the Dallas Cowboys.

Other than that fateful Sunday, the black and gold has NEVER won a game in the Windy City, but on Sunday against a rather lackluster Bears team, they have an excellent shot to reverse that trend.

The Steelers are coming off a solid opening day home win over the Minnesota Vikings, and want to stay on a roll as they will travel to play the Ravens following the affair with the Bears.

There’s no doubt that on paper this game should go to the Steelers in a big way, but again, we’ve all seen the letdowns for this Steelers team under Mike Tomlin, like last season in week three when they were dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz.

Here’s our look at the three keys to a win, and keys to getting the Steelers to 3-0 in time for a showdown with Baltimore in week four.

Way to go, Tomlin. you just very rightfully earned the very dubious distinction of being the only coach to lose TWICE to Mike Glennon! But it doesn’t surprise me coming from a coach whose existing knowledge of X’s and O’s is Tic-Tac-Toe! Oh, apologists, please come out and let me hear all the Tuitt wasn’t there, Watt wasn’t there, it was too hot, our vaginas hunted, etc. etc. Perhaps the Steelers could reach into their collective purses and pull out some terrible tissues for those terrible tears! Realize they have an overrated QB leading an overrated offense with a pure suck head coach! Easy to hate this team! Hard to root for and breaks my heart having been a fan for so long. No business losing to THAT team, but it’s what Tomlin teams do! No one knows how to tackle or wrap up, they jump started the season for a back who was SUCKING so far this year and, a game plan which should’ve been solely to stop the run knowing Glennon wasn’t gonna beat you…and they couldn’t even do that! Please don’t franchise Bell again next year…let him go rap somewhere…I can’t wait for BB to retire so they have an actual excuse to lose these types of games. could’ve taken a nice 3-0 season record into baltimore next week but by october, this team will be 2-2 and everyone will be saying just wait until we get hot in December…It’s THESE games that prevent us from getting a seventh because we have to play on the road in january as opposed to home. Everyone loves Tomlin…I just can’t wrap my head around it. They have looked like shit so far this year and were lucky to be 2-0. Now, let’s see this unfold! I can’t wait to hear ALL the excuses! Yinzers unite, fall back on your laurels and stay entrenched at 6 for a long, long time!!!!!

Oh and by the way, I do agree that holding should’ve been called on both of the final two running plays against the bears, I do agree that league-wide officiating is at best an abomination…doesn’t subtract from the fact that if this team is sooo good, they should never have been in that situation because CHICAGO SUCKS!
