The red-hot Steelers are set for a primetime matchup Sunday night in Detroit at the site of where they won their 5th Super Bowl back in 2006, Ford Field. The Detroit Lions have had an up and down season at 3-3, but come into Sunday off a bye week and are looking to get their season back on track.

The Steelers sitting at 5-2 have complete control of the AFC North, and they are playing their best football of the season after wins over the undefeated Chiefs on the road and at home over the Bengals.

A win and the Steelers can enter the bye week feeling very good about themselves at 6-2, a loss and it’s back to the drawing board for the club as this is a game they should win on the road over a Lions team that hasn’t found themselves yet.

Here’s three keys to getting to 6-2, and going into the bye with a three-game winning streak.

Please retire, Ben! Tomlin please cut Eli. Ben hurts this team more than he helps!

Yea- 3rd and six and throw it deep down the field!!!!; great whiff on Abdullah, Haden; hey we got off the field on third down…let’s see what the greatest joke on turf can do with it!—two three and outs in a row for the greatest joke on turf; the Steelers offense is offensive, but seriously, it is so predictable and unimaginative and under achieves! I think Finney is better than Foster and I am all for Villanueva standing during the anthem—I think he should continue to stand on the sidelines throughout the game and let someone else play left tackle. I wonder who draws up these receiver route trees, someone from kindergarten obviously!

Stanford is showing the test of the good quarterbacks out there how to beat this overrated secondary. They haven’t played anyone yet…except for mike Glennon who sucks and Blake Bortles who also sucks and lost both those games.

This team is a joke. Bell why don’t you rap about your fumble. Bottom line is there is way more talent on paper in black and gold than in Detroit but Steelers will probably go into halftime down by 2 instead of up by at least three. Ben throwing deep twice to suck ass Justin Hunter who can’t even get his other hand up to make play on ball.

Well at halftime the score is Detroit 12-Pitt-10 and outside of the secondary being tested by a real quarterback, defense has held up relatively well, but this vaunted, fake ass, suck ass , overrated, overhyped, piece of shit, greatest joke on turf offense putting up its quota of 10 points! Maybe they’ll eak out 20 by end of game.

Every year I peek in and listen to SNR and those Homer’s tunch and wolf and batch and company just to hear how much they laud the Steelers offense and every year they build them up as if it was the 99 rams! When are these no information yo-yo’s Gonna say something like, “Well, on paper they’re a good offense but you don’t play the games on paper so until they ACTUALLY perform, they’re the greatest joke on turf!”

I think I fell asleep and was dreaming because Ben ACTUALLY MADE a play! I guess a broken clock is right twice a day!

This offensive line sucks! I’m so glad fat ass Marcus Gilbert is always hurt (sarcasm) and Einstein Haley (extreme sarcasm) designs a run play where the backside pursuit defensive end is unblocked! What great design Haley!

If Steelers lose this game it will SQUARELY be on the offense! This get-in-its own-way-waste-of-a-football unit shit and puked on itself all night sans a 97 yard play that was somewhat flukey! First Eli pissed himself then Ben vomited numerous times, then bell shit the fumble and the o line slept walked in the run blocking game all night! Defense just forced another fourth down at two minute warning. I almost hope that if they’re gonna score a touchdown, they do it now instead of getting first down and burning click. Obviously one would hope for another stand but how many dies one unit have in it in a game!

All this joke of an offense needs is one first down!

Don’t know how Shazier dropped that by the way! Wow! What a great call on second down (utter sarcasm)! Escaped! Thank you, D! (No sarcasm—really mean that)….O—way to score 20 points! No, no you should’ve had more, as usual!

Jay its not normal for a team fan to be miserable with every facet of a team. Usually complain about 1 thing and maybe 2 but you are special, you hate everything. I do not believe for one minute that you are a fan and if you are you better find another team because you are a whiner and will be happy in New England. But wait, they have bigger problems, maybe Cleveland so you have a reason to cry.

I have to agree with you Rocky . I hate to say it , but if the Steelers go the rest of the way and somehow knock off Brady and the Patriots , reach the Super Bowl and pull off a win , Jay will find something to talk trash about . The wild rants and dropping F-Bombs every other sentence is not something a true fan does . As a fan you have a right to voice your opinion or displeasure as we all do , but not to the extremes that Jay goes to . Im a longtime fan going back to the mid 1970’s . Ive seen the great times and Ive seen the the 5-11 and 8-8 years as well . Ive been so mad sometimes I cant see straight but never to the extent that Jay goes to . If I got as frustrated as Jay does , I would have changed my team 20 years ago . No team is perfect and players sometimes have bad games . It happens and its been that way from day one . All the wild rants in the world will never change that .
