Steelers Back to the Basics, Run Past Atlanta 41-17 to Improve to 2-2-1; Three Takeaways

3. A Good Day in the Divison (Almost)

As the Steelers woke up Sunday they were in need not only of a win, but they also probably didn’t mind looking up at the scoreboard and looking at the team that beat them last week losing on the road in Cleveland 12-9.

The AFC North Standings look like this after Sunday’s games:

Cincinnati 4-1
Baltimore 3-2
Steelers 2-2-1
Cleveland 2-2-1

A Bengals loss would have been fantastic, but at least the Ravens lost, meaning if the Steelers win in Cincy next week and the Ravens lose at the Titans, the Steelers would basically be right there at the top of the North.

The bottom line is this team needs to keep winning, and after a loss last week in the division and a tie in the first week, a win in Cincy next week would be HUGE for the franchise and the standings.
