Messrs. Arians and Kugler are acutely aware of this possibility and, according to unconfirmed rumors, they are preparing a contingency plan for life without Ben (even temporarily)that might include (gulp!) a ground attack. Arians is taking remedial speech classes so he can learn to say “run” without gagging. Because without Ben, the Arians’ aerial circus will resemble a Chinese fire drill; Mewelde Moore could become our leading receiver; and the defense may have to score two TDs a game to secure a win. Could this be Back to the Future? Are we going to see real Steelers football again? Mirabulus dictu!

i went to a class with a Oxford PD cop(where Miami university of Ohio is located) and he said Ben comes back once a year and has run ins with local business owners there also thinking he doesnt have to pay tab.

Its good to see the Steelers making some moves. They are adding depth where it is needed and bluking up the special teams… so far I would say its been a successful offseason

Heck Ya that’s not even a question WE WANT PORTER AND FOOTE back. We need the depth, leadership and someone to replace an aging slower Farrior. PLEASE bring them back….P.S. Love the RANDAL EL signing, he’s a burner that can catch balls over the middle. Like 86, maybe he replaces him in 2-3 yrs.???

From Sweed’s perspective, if someone tells you how great you are and is cheered for your entire life then finally getting to the big stage where you are hated by an entire city… then yes I can see how he can be depressed, even with all the money we gave him.

I have heard stories regarding Roethlisberger – how he treats women, how he behaves in the locker room and on the field, how Hines Ward was probably correct for calling out Ben’s not wanting to play after his concussion, how Roethlisberger treats Pittsburgh business owners, and it goes on and on.

For all anyone knows there may be more stories that the Rooney family is aware of and not wanting to make public – only speculating.

What it comes down to is that Ben can outspend whatever resources municipalities want to shell out to prosecute the guy. I personally didn’t want to believe the Las Vegas story and even this latest assult story. But when you lay out all the pieces it spells that Roethlisberger is trouble waiting to happen – until he grows up – and there may be some truth to all these aligations. How much truth is only a guess.

Yeah but no matter what, the Rooneys arent going to dump their 2-time SuperBowl qb… its just not going to happen. The Rooneys are stern people, yet they are forgiving. I wouldnt be surprised to see the FO try to put a positive spin on Ben’s issue IF found guilty. Maybe something along the lines of rehabilitating their Super QB. Also Marcy, idk how old you are, but people shouldnt be surprised that a 20 year old girl was in a bar anyway. Im in college and I know plenty of girls that get into bars with fake IDs or flirt their way in. I dont approve of it, but its a college bar and I gaurentee that she wasnt the only underaged person there.

Jay I do agree with you that Ben should surround himself with smarter people and not a bunch of yes men, although it ultimately comes down to Ben making better decisions. Hes not a kid anymore and he has to stop acting like it.
