It appears that the news around Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons is not good, as he did not practice again today because of a high ankle sprain and is not expected to play in the NFL season opener against Tennessee.
Timmons did not take part in any pre-game practices, and Steelers players who do not practice rarely [...]

I’ve been working out hard and now I’m in cooldown mode, still working out but letting my body rest to prepare for the storm – two-a-days. Just taking it easy, enjoying my last couple days with my son before I go to Latrobe.
I’m looking forward to seeing all the guys again, I know everyone’s been [...]

We just got our Super Bowl rings and man, it’s like having two rings put together. It’s huge, man. It’s about as wide as a golden dollar and it’s got 63 diamonds.
You’ve heard of a 10-table ring? This ring you can see from 20 tables away.
I met the President and that was crazy. You can [...]

In a move that cannot be considered much of a surprise, the Steelers are going to release veteran linebacker Larry Foote after the teams upcoming mini-camp. ESPN reports that the Steelers told Foote that he would be released following the camp. This is clearly a move that is being done for money reasons. [...]

A couple of Steelers that missed the first practice of the season on Monday were on the playing field Tuesday. The biggest of which was Santonio Holmes, who missed the first day of practice because of travel. He didn’t do all that much, but at least was there. Same goes for Lawrence Timmons, [...]

There’s already a lot of talk starting about the 2009 season, and one player that may have played his last game in Black and Gold is inside linebacker Larry Foote. It’s great to win a big one. There’s no other feeling like it. When Troy [...]

Steelers second-year LB Lawrence Timmons has updated his blog over at his official site. Here is a tidbit of the article:
Playing in the playoffs in front of our home crowd was crazy, man. It was a great experience.
You can see how the playoffs are different, especially with a veteran team like we have. Everyone [...]

While Ben Roethlisberger is probable for the game against the Colts tomorrow, another player that is 50/50 for the game is outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley. He suffered a calf injury before the Giants game two weeks ago. “I really can’t say if it’s worse or if it’s better. I have two days. I [...]

I think it does! Think about it, Gene Upshaw was the biggest roadblock in CBA extensions and talks because of rookie pay scales. Most players and team owners are in agreement that the rookie payscale needs to change, and veterans need to be rewarded once they have “earned” the money. (See: Roethlisberger, Ben)
Do you think [...]
