The NFL and the Steelers released their 2008 regular season schedule yesterday and it appears to be one of the most difficult in the team’s history. The Steelers will only play two traditional 1:00 p.m. Sunday kickoffs at home this season and will play four of their first six games on the road. The club will open the season at home against the Houston Texans before traveling to Cleveland and Philadelphia. Their bye week comes up October 12th, the sixth week of the season. They will entertain the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants at Heinz Field on October 26th. The Steelers will honor long time broadcaster Myron Cope, who passed away February 27th, before the game with the Texans.
