Roethlisberger Listed at #41 on NFL Top 100 List in 2011 – Are You Kidding Me?!

So far the NFL Network’s list of “Top 100 NFL Players for 2011” has gone pretty much as one would figure. For the Steelers, LaMarr Woodley is listed at #82 (fans being smarter listed him at 61), and that’s been it for the Black and Gold – up till now.

Sunday night they revealed list 50-41, and in one of the biggest slaps in the face, the list produced another Steeler – QB Ben Roethlisberger – at number 41.

For real?!

Roethlisberger, with 25 come from behind wins, and three trips to the Super Bowl – two wins, sits behind seven other QB’s, and should at least be in the 20’s if not the teens on the list.

Here’s the QB’s that he will be listed behind:

1. Tom Brady
2. Peyton Manning
3. Drew Brees
4. Aaron Rodgers
5. Michael Vick
6. Philip Rivers

How the players could put Vick, Rivers, and even Rodgers (who obviously is living off the win over the Steelers in SB 45) ahead of Ben is just mind boggling. ESPN’s First Take had a debate about it today, and said that they felt the off the field issues that bothered Ben the past two of three offseasons may be the reason for the low rankings.

All he does is win, and the only thing I and I am sure the rest of Steeler Nation can hope is that the unfair and ridiculous low ranking will be motivation to have an even bigger 2011 season.

    All right like two things:
One, and, after having read my complete rant, one might consider me as polarizing—could give three and a half shits about these things. It’s propaganda and anyone who puts credence to it needs their heads examined; and two, here’s the perceived paradox—It’s stuff like this and other ESPN, NFL Network, etc. nonsense that has me, canceling my Directv subscription, haven’t watched ESPN in two years now (NFL Network in 6 months) and really think, that, if that’s what they truly think about BB, that there’s actually 40 players better than him, then why should I expose myself to the irrationality and purely speculative, subjective and myopic and obtuse nature that of which is NFL hype (i.e, pregame shows, NFL Network Total Access, Post game shit, etc.)??? I love and watch the football game—That’s it! Anything else proves to be meandering, nonsensical fodder for automatons who believe the hype! Seriously, anyone with more than a six pack worth’s of brain cells to rub together should just watch football and extrapolate their own realities…chances are, it’s going to be way, way, way, way, way, more accurate than the NONSENSE you get by listening to the “experts” try and agenda set their moronic opinions to the masses! BB in top ten or go fuck yourself!

Why would the players care about what he does off the field? Like these men are all angels, right? it is an anti-steeler bias..How many playoff games has Vick won?? Rivers? BB numbers would have been much higher had it not for the unjustified 4 game suspension to which BB was NOT EVEN charged with a crime!

Polls are nothing but one mans opinion and we all all know the old saying about opinions dont we ? Everybodys got one . The only thing I’ll say on the subject is this . The fact that you have players such as Philip Rivers and Michael Vick ranked far ahead of Ben Roethlisberger shows how truly ignorant these people are when it comes to football knowledge . Ben is a two time Super Bowl winning quarterback . Oh , and by the way , the last time

The NFL network SUCKS with it’s has-been analyst and ridiculous polls. Big Ben is a winner and purely on his NFL Resume, he should be ranked #3, behind Brady and Manning. The people that respond and make up these polls are the reason pools are chlorinated. Big Ben is a combination of Elway and McNair. The NFL network and their silly polls need a cleansing enema, they need to take the diaper off of their asses and put it across thier mouth, because that’s where all the shit is coming from.

not charged in Nevada, if you bothered to do the research, you will see that this woman was/is mentally ill. She told people that she had a boyfriend name “Ben” in the military. I know you probably hate the Steelers, but anyone can see this is non-sense. BTW, who is your team? Bet we can find all angels on that team!

Hey, Thomas, it’s hard to read when you don’t punctuate and have fragmented sentences that run on. At first glance, it DOES look like you are accusing BB of being charged with rape.
