Black and Gold Getting Healthier as Pats Game Approaches

The Steelers hit the practice field today as they begin preparations for Sunday’s game against the undefeated New England Patriots.  The Steelers are hoping to have their full compliment of players available on Sunday.  Head coach Mike Tomlin says offensive tackle Marvell Smith, wide receiver Santonio Holmes and safety Troy Polamalu are going to try to practice today and he expects them to be available for the game barring any setbacks.  Running back Najeh Davenport is questionable with a foot injury.  Tomlin revealed on Tuesday that Davenport injured the foot on an elliptical training machine.  Davenport was undergoing tests on Tuesday and Tomlin expects an update later in the week.
