Three Pittsburgh Steelers will at least try to practice on a limited basis – safety Troy Polamalu, wide receiver and offensive tackle Marvel Smith – and may return for the Steelers’ game against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Polamalu (knee), Holmes (ankle) and Smith (back) have missed the team’s last 2 games because of injuries; the Steelers return to practice today after having the last 2 days off.
