Steelers Entertain Lineman, Linebacker

The Steelers are talking with free agent offensive lineman Rex Hadnot.  Hadnot, a 6-foot-2, 325-guard, started all 16-games for the Miami Dolphins last season.  The Steelers are unsettled along the offensive line after the departure of Alan Faneca to the New York Jets in free agency and Marvell Smith’s back surgery last season.  The Steelers have placed the transition tag on tackle Max Starks in an effort to reach a long term deal with him.

The Steelers also visited with linebacker Tracy White.  White, a five-year veteran who played with Green Bay, is an outside linebacker who is also a special-teams standout.  Neither played signed a contract.  The Steelers reportedly have very little room under the salary cap.
