Steelers Sign Former Jaguar and Lions CB Fernando Bryant

The Steelers are banged up at the corner spot with both Bryan McFadden and Deshea Townesend out for Suday’s matchp for the Chargers. So with that, the team today made a roster move, going out and getting former Jaguars CB Fernando Bryant. The team signs Bryant to a one-year deal, and in the process waive LB Donovan Woods, who came to the active roster when the team dumped Najeh Davenport.

Bryant is a former first round pick of the Jags back in 1999, and played with the Jaguars through the 2003 season. He then moved to the Lions, where he played the last four seasons. The Lions let him go, and then he signed with New England, but didn’t make the final roster and was out of the league until now.
