The Steelers got some good news on the injury front, as it looks as if Willie Parker will be able to go this weekend vs the Chargers. Parker will be back on the practice field tomorrow when the Steelers start their prep for San Diego. Mike Tomlin spoke today about the reports about the shoulder injury that put him out of last weekends game vs the Colts.
“The shoulder popped out briefly during the course of the Redskins game and it popped back into place,” Tomlin said, denying reports that Parker had a torn labrum. “Adrenaline or what have you didn’t allow him to recognize it during the course of game. He came in (last) Tuesday, took a look at it and of course it was very painful.”
Parker should add some depth to the running game that needs to give the passing game a lift. He has 333 yards, four TD’s on 87 carries this season. Right now Mewlede Moore is the teams feature back, and while he’s played well, it would be a lift to have Parker back.
