Second Quarter Thoughts: Ben Goes Down

Now the tone of this game has totally changed, and it’s all because of this injury.  Ben was strapped to the stretcher, and now he’s being taken off the field….no report as of yet…Ben ends 9-for-14 for 110 yards with one pick…Miller with 5 catches now has 48 grabs, a career high…Leftwich had Ward open in the end zone…just missed him….3rd and 8….all the talk now is about Ben…Leftwich gets in the end zone…14-0..nifty run, you can tell he wanted to throw it but finally made the good decision to run….

This defense needs a play….Smith makes a great pickup on the Polamalu strip, they are going to look at this, and they should, but I don’t think they overturn it…didn’t even look at the play, crap.  At least they make a play on third down and get the ball back…Holmes with a catch, a career high now 53 catches…Ben’s hurt..there is a for sure couple people in this box right now groaning…this is why he should not have played…Willie McGinest may have just ruined the Steelers Season…

Wow, Triplett loves throwing those flags…Gay on an illegal formation, Browns rough up Berger…let’s do it again…a penalty that goes bad at first in the end helps the Steelers…Browns 1st down at the 5…good D after the first Lewis run…they will start at the 43..they need to get things going!…Looks like Miller is going to be open all day!  Finally…Parker breaks one and goes the distance!…7-0….3 plays, 57 yards….wow a hold vs the Browns…stop the press!

Well, another drive that starts bad, gets good, then they get a break on a bad pass where the Browns commit a pass interference play….The run game continues to struggle…Parker just isn’t the same since the leg injury…great play by Ben and it comes back…Nate made a great catch, 41-yard TD, then you get their 3rd holding call of the game…ugh…Ben again on third down rushed…tried to go to Miller…ugh.
