West Virginia QB Pat White Wants to Play in Pittsburgh

West Virginia QB Pat White wearing Black and Gold?  That’s what he would like to have happen in 2009, as White said on NFL Network that “I would love to be a Pittsburgh Steeler.”  Despite his desire to be in Pittsburgh, it’s unlikely that it would happen with White playing QB, as the Steelers already have a young QB in Dennis Dixon, who they drafted last year.

White said on NFL Network that he wants to remain at quarterback, and that two of the 32 NFL teams are giving him serious consideration at the position. The prospect did say he’ll work as a receiver some during his pro day workouts. If he’s willing to play wide out in the NFL, the Steelers might have some interest.

He was a stud as the MVP of the Senior Bowl, but while he wants to play QB, it doesn’t seem like a good fit for the Steelers who really don’t need another QB on the roster that needs a lot of grooming.
