Steelers Schedule to be Released Tonight

The 2009 Steelers schedule will be released tonight in a primetime special on NFL Network in which they will break down the schedules of all the teams in the league.

Usually there are plenty of leaks where team schedules get released early, so as soon as we have it, we’ll get it up here on the site. Of course we do know that the team will open up at home on Thursday, September 10th against the Tennessee Titans.

It’s almost a for sure that the team will have four more prime time games, and I would think at least two of them would be at home. The team will play the following opponents in 09:

HOME: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego, Green Bay, Minnesota, Tennessee

AWAY: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit, Miami

As for the home games, the matchup with Adrian Peterson and the Vikings could be an interesting game set for prime time, as well as a possible prime time playoff rematch with the Chargers?

On the road side, how about a prime time Sunday or Monday night matchup in Miami? Or another game that could be put in prime time could be the teams game in Chicago.

However it plays out, we’ll find out for good tonight at 7pm.
