First Quarter Thoughts: Stalemate with Some Turnovers

* First drive stalls after Ward drops third down pass that could have been a score…big second play to Wallace for 29 yards. Ben lined up as if he was going to pooch punt, but then a false start put the team in a postion for a more standard punt, which made for a touchback.

* Troy a little ahead of himself in his first series since opening night, offsides on 2nd-and-13.

* Ben with a heads up run on the second offensive series, 13 yards and a first down on 2nd-and-10 from the 12. David Bowens stops the drive with a nice play on Heath Miller. He’s got a sack and a nice pass defensed in two Browns series.

* Parker enters the game on the third series, gets a four-yard gain in his first carry.

* Fumble on the play after Starks was hurt, Alex Hall gets it for the Browns. Just like in last years game here, this has been a rather sloppy first quarter.

* Derek Anderson with a heads up play on third down options the ball to Jerome Harrison for 11 yards and a first-down, Browns driving.

* Josh Cribbs with an ill-advised throw on first down, and Troy steps right in front for a pick. Problem is, Troy limping off the field, hold your breath till we see what happens.
