Munson on why Big Ben wasn’t charged

Lester Munson, who is the legal expert for ESPN, has a pretty good piece today about why Ben Roethlisberger won’t be charged. The article points out about some specifics, including the drinking in the case, the bathroom being cramped, as well as what could lie ahead for Ben in terms of a possible civil suit by the woman accusing him.

The entire story can be read by clicking HERE – I recommend taking 10 minutes to check it out.

I always have been naive to the “civil” cases. If you arent charged with a crime, then you cant be considered guilty of a crime since you have not been in a court of law, right? If thats so, how does someone get to sue in a civil case and basically say,” you havent been charged, you havent been found guilty, but you owe me money”? I say, no charge, no crime, no money! Tough toodles!
